Follow this step-by-step connection sequence to activate your AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 router.
Turn off your existing internet modem (cable, DSL, or fiber ONT). If it has a battery backup, temporarily remove it. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the modem back in to reboot its interface.
Take the provided Ethernet cable. Connect one end to the Ethernet out port on your modem. Connect the other end into the yellow **WAN** port on the back of your FX20 router.
Plug the FX20 power adapter into a wall outlet and connect the barrel jack to the router power input. Press the power button on the back. Wait about 2 minutes for the system lights to stabilize.
Look at the sticker on the bottom of the FX20 router to find the default wireless network name (SSID) and network key. Open Wi-Fi settings on your phone or laptop and select that network.
Launch a browser and navigate to the admin portal: router.jextream.net or enter the local IP address 192.168.10.1. Enter the default administrator credentials printed on the product sticker.
Follow the automatic setup wizard to configure your new custom SSID name, Wi-Fi password, and secure WPA3 controls. Apply settings and reconnect your devices to your new Wi-Fi.
